It was in looking for a cat with very precise behavioural qualities that we discovered the Skogkatt. This natural breed immediately attracted and seduced us with its wild look and particularly stable and balanced temperament.

Le Charme des Runes, a French family breeding created in 2004, was born from a strong desire to promote and protect this specific breed. This is our goal. Its name symbolizes the Norsk Skogkatt (or the Norwegian Forest Cat) :
- "le Charme" : a tree found in French forests, also reminds us of this cat's seductive side and the magic of Runes that Freya taught Odin in Norse mythology ;
- "les Runes" : they remind us of the Scandinavian origins. Scandinavian alphabet and tool of communication, they were used for the arts of divination.
